One of the courses I took in the web and digital media program was interactive design. In my interactive design syllabus, my professor explained the objective as an exploration of “the core design components that make up the majority of interactive visual media.” The course focused on the “user-centered design process, usability issues, and methods for evaluating various interactive interfaces.”
For my second project, I had to redesign an existing website to be responsive on desktop, tablet, and mobile. I selected the website of Leon’s Frozen Custard, a famous Milwaukee drive-in known for its delicious custard. The first step of this project was to research Leon’s, including its target audience and competitors. After, I drew simple sketches of a new design for its homepage and about page. In Adobe XD, I transformed those sketches into wireframes. From there, I created mockups of both pages.
